About Stealer
The band came about when a diverse collection of musicians decided that they were fed up with playing 'money music' and wanted to get back to their roots.
Stealer (from the Free track of that name) perform many of
the classic rock songs
that epitomise the era when Britain led the world in
unique and innovative rock music.
Playing old rock may be considered
a backward move, but we've been surprised how
popular these songs still are,
it just proves how good they actually were.
Stealer features singer John Lloyd, who has played most places from London
to the West Country over the past century. He has the sort of voice that prompts
people to say "I know that voice from somewhere", his laid back approach and assured
performance ooze quality.
